Funeral services for Cherry M. Olson, 90 of Schaumburg, IL will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Michaels Funeral Home in Schaumburg. Visitatin will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City, NE on Friday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m. Cherry died Sunday, February 26 at Friendship Village in Schaumburg.

Cherry M. Olson (Dunaway), 90, a resident of Friendship Village for 11 years and formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, was born on November 16, 1926 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Leon and the late Thelma (Weatherford) Dunaway. She lived in Omaha for over 50 years, was a retired auditor for Sears Roebuck & Co., and was an active member of the First Baptist Church since 1956. She passed away on February 26, 2017 in Schaumburg with her loving daughter by her side.

Cherry was the devoted wife of 54 years to the late Harold “Bud” S. Olson Sr.; beloved mother of Harold “Hal” S. (Linnaie) Olson Jr. and Tamilyn “Tami” (Keith) Fox; cherished grandmother of Ashley (Chuck) McCloughlin of TX, Matthew (Alissa) Williams of CA, Nathan Fox of MI, Rachael Fox of CA, and Harold “Trey” S. Olson III of IL; precious sister of Marilyn Patteson of TX; dear friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
