Dorothy M. (Turek) Dzingle

Dorothy Dzingle, 85 of Loup City, NE died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Rose Lane Home at Loup City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the church with a Vigil Service/Sodality Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Dzingle family or donor’s choice.

     Dorothy was born November 2, 1930 to Steve and Mary (Pruss) Turek in Ashton, NE and received her education in a rural school and at Ashton Catholic School.  On October 19, 1948 she married Leopold Dzingle at Ashton and lived on several farms before making their home in Loup City in 1963.  Leopold and Dorothy have two children, James Dzingle and Jeannie (Dzingle) Kalkowski.

     Dorothy worked at Golden Rule in Loup City until 1964 then worked at Rose Lane Home.  She then worked at Loup City Catholic and Public Schools retiring after 31 years of service. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards; embroidery and baking and listening to polish music. She belonged to St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, Circle #4 and Altar Society.

     She is survived by her son, James Dzingle and daughter-in-law, Dacia (Day) Dzingle of Loup City; daughter, Jeannie and son-in-law, Tom Kalkowski of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Jackie and Rob Miller of Phoenix, AZ; Kevin and Andrea Dzingle of Kearney, NE; Beth and Carmine Primiano of Scottsdale, AZ and Dayna and John Phillips of Kearney, NE; eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Ernestine (Turek) Dzingle and Leona (Turek) and husband, Lloyd Lorenzen both of Loup City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leopold; parents, Steve and Mary Turek and brothers, Jerome and Teddy Turek.
