Elaine M. (Peters) Krzycki

Elaine M. Krzycki, 73 of Loup City, NE died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at CHI St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island, NE.  Cremation has been held.  Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating.  Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 at the church with a Vigil Service/Sodality Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the Loup City Rescue Squad or donor’s choice.

Elaine (Peters) Krzycki was born February 11, 1942 at Loup City, NE to Louie and Monica (Skibinski) Peters.  She grew up and attended school in Loup City and graduated from Loup City High School in 1960.  She continued her schooling and graduated from the Grand Island Beauty School in Grand Island, NE.  She moved back to Loup City and operated a beauty shop for a few years.  She married Larry Krzycki at St. Josapht’s Catholic Church in Loup City on April 8, 1967.  They moved to a farm near Arcadia.  In 1983 they moved to Loup City.  She went to work for Rose Lane Nursing Home where she worked for twenty years.  She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, Sodality Rosary and also taught CCD for a number of years.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She loved to play bingo, crochet, Husker athletics and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry of Loup City; son, Mark and wife Suzy Krzycki of Omaha, NE; daughter, Lori and husband, Rob Smith of Denver, CO; grandchildren Zoey and Noah Krzycki and Finn Smith; brothers, Jim and wife, Carol Peters of Lincoln, NE; Tom and wife Donna Peters; Larry and wife, Toni Peters; Bob and wife Pam Peters all of Loup City; sisters-in-law, Arlene and husband Alois Dzingle of Loveland, CO and Jeanne and husband, Jerry Benker of Grand Island, NE.  She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Joey and mother-in-law, Clara Krzycki.
