Charles E. “Chuck” Dusek, Jr. 78 of Loup City, NE died Friday, April 19, 2024 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City, NE. Celebration of Life Services are pending for Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the American Legion Hall in Loup City. Memorials are suggested to the Mary Dusek Head Start Scholarship, Loup City EMT’s or donor's choice.
Chuck was born on Oct 2, 1945, in Omaha, NE to Charles Dusek Sr. and Laurencia Bowen. Chuck entered the Army in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was a member of the VFW Legion Post #48 until his death.
On November 26,1966 he was united in marriage to Mary Stobbe. Through this union they had four children, Debbie, Kelly, Jackie and Michael. Over the years Chuck worked as an over-the-road truck driver, an electrician, and sold and installed Monarch grain bins. He owned his own business, Dusek Electric, for many years. Chuck also was a weatherization specialist for CNCS before he retired due to his health.
Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling; especially trips to Sturgis. He also enjoyed restoring cars and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by daughters, Debra (Chris) Stanczyk of Fargo, ND; Kelly (Jeff) Phillips of Loup City, NE; Jackie Mitchell of Renton, WA; and son, Michael Dusek of Norfolk. Chuck is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, parents, and sister, Linda Armstrong.
