Patricia "Pat" L. Winter

     Patricia “Pat” L. Winter 76 of Loup City, NE died Saturday, December 30, 2023. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the church. A private Scripture Service will be held with Father Richard Piontkowski officiating. Burial will be held at the Lone Elm Cemetery 11 miles west of Loup City. Memorials are suggested to the Winter family or donor’s choice. 

     Patricia L. Winter was born January 18, 1947 at Sutherland, NE to William P. and Evellyn (Falk) Winter. She attended the Lone Elm District 11 school and graduated from Loup City High School in 1965. Pat spent most of her life on the ranch raising cattle. She was also a brand inspector for the State of Nebraska. Pat enjoyed dancing, showing cattle, cattle sales and buying stuff at auctions.

     Pat is survived by her daughters, Tammy Winter of Loup City, NE; Kerri Loeffelbein of Loup City, NE; five grandchildren, Kyle and Mikayla Loeffelbein and Makin, Tacey and Tessa Shafer; one great grandson, Kye Loeffelbein and sister, Linda (David) Smedra of Miller, NE; Pat was preceded in death by her parents; stillborn brother, James; infant brother, Layne and nephew, Brock Smedra.
