William "Bill" A. Gregory

     William A. Gregory, 71 of Loup City, NE died Friday, December 15, 2023 at his home in Loup City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 2021, 2023 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City. Father Richard Piontkowski will Celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with military honors provided by the Loup City American Legion Post #48. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 21 at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Gregory family. 

       William "Bill"  A. Gregory was born March 28, 1952 at Loup City, NE to Beryl L. and Jean (Spotanski) Gregory. He grew up and attended school in Loup City. He graduated from Loup City High School in 1970. After graduation he entered the Navy. He worked Alan’s 66 service station in Loup City. Bill worked as a drywaller doing work Tecumseh State Penitentiary and the new Loup City High School. He also worked for Baldwin Filters in Kearney. Bill lived his whole life in Loup City. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and photographing wildlife.

     Bill is survived by his daughter, Amy (Shawn) Strahan of Lincoln, NE; son, Jackson Gregory of Utica, NE; mother, Jean Gregory of Loup City, NE; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Brenda) Gregory of Loup City, NE; Robert (Cara) Gregory of Grand Island, NE; sisters, Kate Wooten of Westminster, CO; Anita (Craig) Morrel of Columbus, NE and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Beryl; infant daughter, Lisa and brother-in-law, Pat Wooten.
