Alma L. Aufrecht

Alma L. Aufrecht, 76 of Omaha, NE formerly of Loup City, NE died Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with Reverend Lori Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Aufrecht family or donor’s choice. Alma was born on November 6th, 1944 in Lusk, Wyoming to Lewis and Caroline Wilson.  Her mom passed away during childbirth.  She was raised by her grandmother, Katherine Bailey in Harrison, NE.  Alma met Earnest DeGunia in Crawford, NE. They were married on February 14th, 1961 in Crawford, NE where they lived and raised 4 sons.

Alma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed her grandkids, was involved in scouting with her boys, and was a den mother.  She also helped run Alma's Gift Shop for several years where kids could come and play games or just hang out.  Alma and Earnest were married for several years.  She then moved to Loup City, NE where she met and married Robert Aufrecht.  They were married until his death in 2012.

Alma is survived by 3 sons, Earnest DeGunia Jr., Crawford NE, Darrold DeGunia (Heather), Bennington, NE, and Troy DeGunia (Michealla), Crawford, NE, 5 grandsons, Earnest DeGunia III, John Pritchard (Amanda), Steven (Kacee) DeGunia, Lewie Huggett, and Jacob Re, 3 granddaughters, Alexandria DeGunia, Tatania DeGunia, and Brittany DeGunia. Alma is preceded in death by one son, William Lee DeGunia and husband, Robert Aufrecht.

Alma is now with her heavenly father and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
