Bennie C. “Ben” Wright, 34 of Loup City, NE died Monday, May 17, 2010 as result of a boating accident at Sherman Reservoir in Loup City. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Loup City Community Building with the Reverend Shawn Kitzing officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Community Building. Memorials are suggested to the Wright family for donor’s choice.
Bennie Clark Wright was born October 22, 1975 at Grand Island, NE to Jim and Janet (Clark) Ummel. He graduated from Grand Island Sr. High in 1994 and also attended Milford Community College for two years. He married Angie Wales on August 18, 2001 in Loup City, NE. They lived in Grand Island until moving to Loup City in 2002. Together him and Angie owned and operated Trade Winds Marina at Sherman Reservoir in Loup City, NE. He loved to be with his wife and children and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed his 1968 Chevrolet Camero and flying remote control airplanes.
He is survived by his wife, Angie of Loup City, NE; sons, Creighton James, 2 1/2 and Reece Ian, 2 months both at home; parents, Jim and Janet Ummel of St. Paul, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeremy and Tracy Wright of Omaha, NE; Jason and Amy Ummel of Grand Island, NE; JJ Ummel of Grand Island, NE; sister and brother-in-law, Kelli and RJ Linder of Grand Island, NE; maternal grandmother, Darlene Clark of Grand Island, NE and 8 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Clark and paternal grandparents, Clyde and Alice Wooten.
