Boyd Kelsey, 74 of Loup City, NE died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home in Loup City. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with the Reverend Joel Plisek officiating. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Gaslin Cemetery in Brady, NE. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Kelsey family or donor’s choice.
Boyd Kelsey was born July 24, 1938 at North Platte, NE to Floyd E. and Leona (Imler) Kelsey. He grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School. He entered the Navy in 1958 and was discharged in 1962. He then moved to Omaha and worked for Automation Inc. for 40 years. He retired in 2002 and moved to Loup City, NE. On October 10, 1998 he married Carolyn Diehl. He loved fishing, gardening and Nebraska football.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Loup City, NE; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Barbara of North Platte, NE and Keith and Sandra of Alexandria, KY; step-son, Rod and wife Susan Diehl of Boelus, NE; step-daughter, Debbie and husband, Pat Moroney of Longview, TX; granddaughter, Courtney Kelsey; step grandchildren, Brett Palmer, Kylie Hicks, Tyler Moroney, Cody Diehl, Beau Diehl and Macy Diehl.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
