Carolyn Treffer-Hansen, 71 of Sioux City, IA died June 14, 2016 at home.  Grave side services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating.  A light lunch will follow at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church hall.  Memorials are suggested to the Treffer family or donor’s choice.

Carolyn Treffer was born March 23, 1945 at Rockville, NE to Lovell and Pauline (Celmer) Treffer.  She grew up and attended school at Rockville.  Carolyn traveled the country as a USDA food inspector. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, family and grandkids.

She is survived by her sons, Jody (Joni) Smith of Crete, NE; Jay (Jennifer) Smith of Vancouver, WA; daughter, Delta McCully of Sioux City, IA; son, Edward (Jessica) Hansen of Ord, NE; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter; brother, Loren (Delores) Treffer of Broken Bow, NE; Jack (Florence) Treffer of Lincoln, NE and sister, Sharon (Dale) Huddleston of Johnson Lake, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two baby girls.
