David R. Hiser

David “Dave” R. Hiser 59 of Loup City, NE died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home in Loup City.  Celebration of Life services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Community Building in Loup City with Reverend Doug DeNeui officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the Loup City American Legion Post #48.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Veterans Hero Flight.

David Robert Hiser was born May 26, 1956 at Grand Island, NE to Robert and Dorothy (Kosmicki) Hiser.  He graduated from Wood River High School.  On July 4, 1975 he married Cynthialee Ann Cohl at Reno, NV.  They had two sons; Jeremy Addam and Ryan Bradley Hiser.  He entered the United States Navy in March of 1974 and retired from the Navy in July of 1994.  He was an aircraft structural mechanic while in the Navy and lived in California and Texas in his 20 years of service.  David was a devoted and loving husband and father.  He will be sorely missed.  Let us remember him for his 20 years in the Navy and his love of rock music and fireworks.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy and wife, Karla of Lexington, KY; Ryan and wife, Christina of Hanford, CA; four grandchildren; brother, John Hiser of Grand Island, NE; sisters, Charlene Webber of Whitman, NE; Debra Hiser-Beatty of Louisville, KY; Becky Gann of Seminole, TX and Ava Kloch Sapulpa, OK.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthialee Ann, parents and sister, Susan Whelan.
