Dorothy Arnold, 79 of Loup City, NE died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with Reverend Ken Hutson officiating. Burial will be at the Armada Cemetery in Miller, NE. Memorials are suggested to the Loup City or Sumner Rescue Squads.
Dorothy E. Arnold was born October 6, 1933 at Litchfield, NE to Albert Lester and Erma (parish) Trumble. She graduated high school from Council Bluff, IA; received her LPN from Kearney State College and RN from Western Nebraska Community College. She married Robert Arnold, December 14, 1951 at Concordia, KS. She was a Nurse’s Aide in Grand Island, NE and a RN at Rose Lane Home in Loup City until she retired in 2005. She was a member of the United Church of Sumner in Sumner, Ne.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Robert Gibson of Snead’s Ferry, NC; Cheri and Chuck Radtke of Loup City, NE; sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Betty Arnold of Sumner, NE; Michael Arnold of Scotts Bluff, NE; Jeffrey Arnold of Kearney, NE; daughter, Lisa Arnold of Council Bluffs, IA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Sisters, Beth Gylling of Council Bluffs, IA; Barbara Anderson of Council Bluffs, IA and brother and sister-in-law, David and Evelyn Trumble of Council Bluffs, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Norman Trumble.
