Edwin E. Murray 73, of Loup City died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at his home in Loup City. A celebration of Life service will be 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City. Private burial will be held at a later date with military honors at the Lee Park Cemetery near Arcadia. Memorials are suggested to the Murray Family or donor’s choice.
Edwin E. Murray was born September 2, 1941 at Arcadia, NE to Paul and Gladys (Luedtke) Murray. He attended school in Greeley, NE and graduated from Oakland, IA. He was an Army veteran serving from January, 1959 to March, 1967. He was very proud of serving his country. He married Paula Nash and they had four children. Throughout his life he lived in Boelus, NE, Saudi Arabia, Orlando, FL, Greeley, CO and Loup City, NE. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, canning and spending time with his only granddaughter, Kenli Rose.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Murray-Winkler and husband Enon of Orlando, FL; son, Mark Murray, of Orange City, FL; mother, Gladys Shipley of Loup City, NE; granddaughter, Kenli Rose Winkler; brother, Patrick Murray of Kings City, CA; sisters, RaeJean Zauha of Omaha, NE; Diana Hurlburt of Burwell, NE and Connie Ross of Sanford, FL. He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Brenna Murray; son, Mathew Murray and sister, Carol Hatt.
