Elisabeth M. Dymek, 94 of Loup City, NE died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City, NE. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rockville, Ne with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Rockville. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the church with a Vigil service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Donor’s choice.
Elisabeth M. Dymek was born April 14, 1916 at Rockville, NE to John and Sophia (Wiezorek) Szafrajda. She grew up in the Rockville area and attended local schools. She married Hubert Dymek on June 30, 1937 in Rockville, NE. The couple farmed near Rockville until 1960. At that time they moved to Englewood, CO and lived there until 1966 when they moved back to a farm near Rockville. Mrs. Dymek later moved to Loup City, Ne after the death of her husband in September of 1972. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing a variety of different flowers.
She is survived by one son, James Dymek of Englewood, CO; one daughter, Sandra Heins of Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Gina Rabow of Los Angeles, CA; Sheila Cooper of Fort Collins, CO; Patrick and Christopher Daniel of North Platte, NE; Anthony Dymek of Aurora, CO; Marissa Caldwell of Englewood, CO; 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Clemence, Will, Lonnie and Floyd; two infant sisters; one foster brother and one foster sister.
