Elizabeth "Lou" L. (Heller) Kmoch

Elizabeth “Lou” L. Kmoch 63 of Callaway, Nebraska died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City with Pastor Ryan Durham officiating. Cremation has been held and burial of the ashes will be held at a later date. Visitation will be one hour before service. Memorials are suggested to the Kmoch family for later designation. Elizabeth Louise Heller was born January 9, 1962 at Great Bend, Kansas. She was adopted by Miller and Helen (Jones) Heller when she was four years old. Elizabeth grew up in the sandhills area and attended school in Dunning, NE graduating in 1980. She grew up going to the Open Bible Church and attending 4-H Club in high school. She loved helping on the farm. Elizabeth married Laddie D. Kmoch on February 28, 2003 at the Custer County Courthouse. Elizabeth and Laddie lived in the Broken Bow area. She became a CNA and Med Aide and worked at several nursing homes. She also worked as a construction flagger.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hein of Loup City, NE; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Vickie Webb of Dunning, NE; Fredrecia Eyten of Callaway, NE; brother, Justin Licking of North Platte, NE and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
