Emma M. Denney, 76 of Broken Bow, NE died Friday, June 28, 2024 at Quality Senior Villages in Broken Bow. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Loup City with Pastor’s Delmar Unruh and Seth Denney officiating. Burial will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery in Broken Bow. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Loup City, NE.
Emma M. Denney was born January 28, 1948 in Durango, CO. She was adopted at a young age by David and Mary Hamilton. She grew up and graduated from high school in Durango. At an early age, she believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was dedicated to Him throughout her life. On April 9, 1971 she married Stephen G. Denney. They had three children. Emma was a teacher for over 30 years and loved working with children. She lived in Durango, CO, Chadron, NE, North Platte, NE; Fort Collins, CO and Broken Bow, NE. Emma was a member of the Baptist Church.
Emma is survived by her husband, Stephen of Broken Bow, NE; daughter, Stephanie Gentry of Greeley, CO; sons, Shawn Denney (Rebekah) of Callaway, NE and Seth Denney (Tania) of Mount Ayr, IA and nine grandchildren - Ben Denney, Jake Denney, Sam Denney, Devyn Denney, Joe Denney, Ashly Denney, Annah Denney, Ellah Denney, and Jonathan Denney; and brothers, Jesse Hamilton and Merle Hamilton. Emma was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Charlene Pitts.
