Gerald H. “Walley” Waltman, 65 of Loup City, NE died Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Callaway Good Samaritan Center in Callaway, NE. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City, NE. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Waltman family or Donor’s choice.
Gerald H. Waltman was born March 31, 1945 at Loup City, NE to Donald and Theresa (Krolikowski) Woltman. He grew up and attended school in rural Loup City. He farmed and raised cattle in Sherman and Custer Counties. He enjoyed visiting with numerous friends and acquaintances about farming and ranching.
He is survived by his son and fiance, John Waltman of Broken Bow, NE and Ashley Sierks of Broken Bow, NE; two sisters, Caroline Goc of Grand Island, NE and Dolores Kubicek of Lincoln, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Allen and sister, Darlene Nozicka.
