Isabelle F. (Roy) Trompke

July 5, 1919 — October 8, 2014

Isabelle Trompke, 95 of Loup City, NE died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at her daughter’s home near Wood River, NE.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating.  Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12 at the church with a Vigil Service/Sodality Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church.  Memorials are suggested to St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church or donor’s choice.

Isabelle Florence (Roy) Trompke was born July 5, 1919 at Paplin, NE to Mike and Helen (Tesmer) Roy.  She grew up in the Ashton area and graduated from Loup City High School in 1938.  She married Raymond Trompke, Sr. July 11, 1939 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City.  She lived at the same farm home since marriage for over 75 years.  Her husband, Ray died March 22, 1987.  She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, St. Josaphat’s Sodality Rosary, CCW and St. Anne’s Quilting Club. She was also a past member of District 14 School Board, Election Board and Sherman County Extension Club. She enjoyed playing cards, word finds, sewing, crocheting, gardening, birds and making deserts.
She is survived by her son, Raymond L. Trompke, Jr. and wife Donna of Loup City; daughter, Imogene Turek and husband, James of Wood River, NE; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Trompke, Sr.; brother, Dominic Roy; sisters, Emily Roy and Stella Smedra.
