Jim Harrison, 47 of Loup City, NE died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with Stan Tiller officiating. Burial will be held at the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City. Memorials are suggested to the Harrison family or donor’s choice.
Jim P. Harrison was born October 2, 1963 at Grand Island, NE to Philip and Donna (Miller) Harrison. Jim grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School in 1981. He then attended Central Community College in Hastings, NE. Jim married Rhonda Criss on June 24, 1989 at the Methodist Church in Minden, NE. He worked for John Deere Dealerships and Ken’s Equipment in Loup City. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, spending time with family and most of all with his daughter, Heather.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda of Loup City, NE; daughter, Heather of Loup City, NE; sisters and brothers-in-law, Melinda and Ron Bazata and Carol and Mike Woodman all of Kearney, NE; mother-in-law, Jean Criss of Gibbon, NE and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and father-in-law.
