JoAnn M. Anglemyer, 77 of Loup City, NE died Monday, January 13, 2025 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City with Pastor Tim Rust officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Macon Union Cemetery at Macon, NE. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time Thursday, January 16 at Higgins Funeral Home. JoAnn M. Anglemyer was born January 8, 1948 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Ray and Clara (Clement) Donner. She grew up and attended school in Farnam and Gothenburg. JoAnn married Russell D. Anglemyer February 23, 1966 at Cozad, NE. They were blessed with three children; Carmon, Cody and Romona “Honey”. They raised their family in Wood River and then moved to Macon. Russell and JoAnn farmed several years. After the passing of her husband Russell, she lived the rest of her life in Loup City. JoAnn worked as a CNA at the Gering hospital and then later worked in food service. She was a part-owner in a steak house. Her hobbies included fishing, puzzle books, bird watching, riding around the lake, beating her grandkids at boardgames and visiting with her family. JoAnn was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was baptized in the Lexington Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed reading her bible daily.
JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Carmon Anglemyer of Loup City, NE; Romona “Honey” Anglemyer of Eagle, NE; daughter-in-law, Linda Anglemyer of Beatrice, NE; grandchildren; Thomise (Jessie) Botts of Hastings, NE; Judy Botts of Loup City, NE; Katrisha (Rick Sheets) Anglemyer of Eagle, NE; Dannyil Pesek of Holdredge, NE; Jeddidyah (Angela Botts) Pesek of Ravenna, NE; Jazmyne (Eric) Spilinek of Elba, NE; Maddison (Ethan Joy) Anglemyer of Beatrice, NE; Candy Anglemyer; Lacey Anglemyer; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Dallas (Midge) Donner of Cozad, NE; children of JoAnn’s heart, Melissa, Rocky, Chrys, Pam, Ray and Jim and several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Anglemyer; parents, Ray and Clara Donner; son, Cody Anglemyer; brother, Jerry Donner; sister, Virginia Stevens; brother, Steven Donner and great grandchild, Landyn Sheets.
