Joshua Bernard Rowley, 12 of Kernersville, NC died Sunday, July 3, 2011 from a boating accident. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island with Reverend Mike Reiners officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Organ Retrieval System.
Joshua Bernard Rowley, 12, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011. He was born September 27, 1998 in Forsyth Co. to Jeremy John and Lori Annette Johnson Rowley.
Joshua had spent his entire life in Kernersville and was to start the seventh grade at Kernersville Middle School. He was a bull rider and was very active in motor cross.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Johnson; and his paternal grandfather, Bernard Rowley.
In addition to his parents of Kernersville surviving are two sisters, MaryAnne and Kaitlyn Rowley both of Kernersville; his brother, Jordan McAlexander of Pfafftown; maternal grandmother, Pearl Johnson of Kernersville; and paternal grandmother, Claudine Rowley of Lincoln, NE.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday, July 11, 2011 at First Christian Church in Kernersville with Dr. Pete Kunkle, and Rev. Todd Haley officiating. Joshua will be laid to rest next to his brother, Matthew McAlexander in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the church.
Joshua is joined in Heaven with his brother, Matthew. Joshua and Matthew lost their lives in the same boating incident at Sherman Reservoir in Sherman Co., NE
