Kathryn "Kathy" A. (Kuhn) Carlsen

Kathy Carlsen, 66 of Loup City, NE died peacefully Friday, March 29, 2024 at her home in Loup City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Community Building in Loup City with Reverend Scott Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Community Building. Memorials are suggested to the Carlsen family.

Kathryn A. Carlsen was born January 20, 1958 at Loup City, NE to Ronald “Ron” and Carol (Jensen) Kuhn. She grew up and attended school in Loup City and graduated in 1976. Kathy then attended Kearney State College graduating with a teacher’s degree. She married Steven Carlsen on April 20, 1985 at the First Baptist Church in Kearney. Kathy was a shipping supervisor and Baldwin Filters in Kearney and worked for over 35 years at Baldwin’s. She loved shopping and had a love for animals, especially her puppies. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Chris (Hiedi) Carlsen of Central City, NE; 10 grandchildren; Tyler (Ashton), Logan, Madi, Teagan, Hailie, Maci, Hadlie, Aubree, Stella and Kodi; mother, Carol Kuhn of Loup City, NE; sister, Linda Kuhn of Loup City; brothers, Dan (Miriam) Kuhn of Lincoln, NE; Scott (Emma) Kuhn of Ellsworth, NE; Jim (Tracy) Kuhn of Grand Island, NE and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her infant sons, David and Dallas; father, Ron Kuhn and brother, David.
