Mary Jo Bloyd, 79 of Loup City, NE died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Funeral services will be
10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City, NE with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the church with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Bloyd family or donor’s choice.
Mary Josephine (Holley) Bloyd was born March 21, 1932 at Taylor, NE to Raymond and Nova (Robinson) Holley. She grew up and attended grade school in the Ansley, NE area and graduated from Broken Bow High School. She married Orville Bloyd on November 12, 1951. Throughout her life she lived in Las Angeles, CA, Summersville, KY, Grand Island, NE and Loup City, NE working in the health care field. She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Laura Bloyd of Colorado; Margaret and Norman Quandt of Loup City, Nebraska and Marcella Bloyd of Ravenna, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Bob, John and Bill Holley and sisters, Patricia Butts and Barbria Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; daughter, Sharon Bloyd; parents and grandson, Michael Bloyd.
