Mary L. Wilson, 77 of Grand Island, NE died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial to be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Wilson family or donor’s choice. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Louise (Bydalek) Wilson was born March 31, 1935 at Loup City, NE to Daniel and Theresa (Makowski) Bydalek. She grew up in Ashton, NE and attended public school there. In 1976 she married Gerald W. Wilson in Omaha, NE. Mary lived most of her life in Nebraska. She was a homemaker and also worked as a paraprofessional at the Headstart in Ord. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Toli Kotler of Fountain Valley, CA; Jenifer and Earlin Shanno of Oakland, IA; Victoria Morrow of Kearney, NE; Elizabeth Pike of Long Pine, NE; Kelly and James Danklesen of Clarks, NE; Cheryl Lawson of Central City, NE; Michelle Wilson and special friend, Darrel Roberts of Ord, NE; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Catharine Bydalek of Kearney, NE; sisters, Margaret Palu of Grand Island, NE; Dorothy Pfiefer of St. Paul, NE; eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Patricia Gizinski and brother-in-law, Lawrence Palu
