Michael J. Glinsmann was born January 3, 1963 at Loup City, Nebraska to Merle A. and Virginia Mae (Brumberg) Glinsmann. He attended school in Ashton and graduated from Loup City High School in 1981. Mike continued to farm with his brother and dad on the family farm. At the same time, he worked at Greenland Construction. He also farmed with Paul Retzlaff for many years later. Mike and his brother, Steve began a fencing company. Mike was a perfectionist and put in many miles of perfectly aligned fence.
