th
2010.
Nathan’s journey began on May 25
th
1975 when he was born to Barbara Conner and Troy Shafer in Grand Island, NE. Nathan’s childhood years were spent in Wood River, NE and he attended high school in Minden, NE. In his life, Nathan called many places home, including South Bend, IN, Kearney, NE, Lake City, CO, Ravenna, NE and Lincoln, NE. No matter where he lived, Nathan always believed that as long as he was with his family, he was home. Nathan spent over a third of his life with his one true love and wife, Shanna. Nathan passionately loved his entire family, especially his two beautiful daughters, Kaya Marie and Irie Rose. Nathan enjoyed trying new things and was continually pursuing knowledge. He loved live music, reading, horticulture, and metal working, and was moved by nature.
Nathan touched a wide circle of extended family, including many sisters and brothers “from another mother”. Nate was an amazing man, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed by all whom he touched.
Nathan is survived by his wife and two daughters; mother, Barbara Albers; father, Troy Shafer; brothers, Zac Bristol, Shane Albers and Tanner Albers; Grandparents Dorothy and Herbert Wood; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. Nathan was also survived by man’s best friend, Chinook.
