Richard Briggs Moore, 76 of Loup City, NE died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Loup City with Reverend Delmar Unruh officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church or donor’s choice.
Richard Moore was born March 23, 1935 at Grand Island, NE to Carl and Charlotte (Briggs) Moore. He made his home with his mother and grandparents, Charles and Laura Briggs and attended elementary school in Loup City. As a teenager he began making his home at the Beatrice State Development Center after being injured at an earlier age. In the late 70’s he spent some time at a home in Washington. In the mid 80’s he returned to Nebraska and entered the Bethphage Care Home in Axtell. He entered Rose Lane Home in Loup City where he resided until the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
