Robert “Alex” Evans, 26 of Loup City, NE died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Loup City as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Loup City Community Building with Pastor Chris McArdle officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at the Loup City Community Building. Memorials are suggested to the Alex Evans Memorial Fund.
Robert Alexander Evans “Alex” was born at Columbus, Ne on May 27, 1988 to Roger and Corrie Ann (Hughes) Evans. He spent part of his early childhood in Columbus and then moved with his family to Warsaw, Ill. Alex moved with his family to Loup City where he completed high school and graduated in 2006. He enjoyed the community and made Loup City his permanent home.
After completing his education, Alex began his career in construction and was becoming a talented craftsman. As he learned his trade, Alex was proud to work with Kuszak Construction of Loup City. Alex considered the entire family of Mark and Marcia Kuszak including Eric, Shelby, Keila, Chelsey, Connor and Cole as his own.
Alex was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and target shooting. He enjoyed small watercraft and local recreation sports. Alex was dedicated to his family and cherished his friends. He was happiest spending his time with those he loved. He was blessed with a special relationship with his beloved Great-Grandmother Reba Schleicher.
Alex is survived by his mother, Corrie Ann Cronin (John Badura) of Grand Island and his father, Roger Evans (Renae Ratcliff Evans) of Columbus, his special friend, Amanda Johnson of Loup City, and his Grandmother Darlene Hughes of Columbus, Grandmother Dorothy Evans of Columbus, and Grandfather Dave Ratcliff of Columbus.
Alex is also survived by his siblings, Jennifer (Christopher) Frey of Lincoln, Zachary (Jessica) Cronin of Franklin, Emily (Katie) Hibbs of Grand Island, Taylor Evans of Columbus, Bryce Cronin of Scott AFB, Ill, Tori Evans and Tarah Evans of Columbus.
He is preceded by Grandparents Angeline Evans, Blayne Evans, Robert Hughes, Bev Ratcliff, and Yvonne Ratcliff.
