Roger I. Pemberton

Roger I. Pemberton 68 of Loup City, NE died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City with Reverend Doug DeNeui officiating.  Burial will follow at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ashton, NE with military honors by the Loup City American Legion Post #48.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2014 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the Pemberton family or donor’s choice.

Roger I. Pemberton was born May 31, 1946 at Omaha, NE to Wm. Irvin and Velma (Hall) Pemberton.  He grew up and attended school in Missouri and Kansas.  In 1964 he entered the Navy and was discharged in 1967. He then joined the Air Force and was discharged in 1972 and then moved to Loup City where he spent the rest of his life.  He married Kathy Craig on November 9, 1967.  He was a partner with Linda Anderson.  On January 24, 1981 he married Judi Stobbe.  Roger loved driving his semi-truck all over the country.  He also enjoyed mechanical work and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Judi Pemberton of Loup City, NE; daughters, Jenny Cardin of Midland, WA; Tammi Ruckman and husband Rick of Spanaway, WA; Erin and husband, Jesse Harris of Rockville, NE; son, Sean Pemberton of Alda, NE; step-daughter, Amy and husband, Arnie Remington of Seward, NE; grandchildren, Seaj and Zack Palmer; Brandon Cardin; Julius, Zenobia, Thaddeus and Apollo Harris and Max Pemberton.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Chuck Anderson.
