Ruth H. Henning, 89 of Loup City, NE died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with Reverend Barbara Spangler officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Cremation has been held. Memorials are suggested to the Henning family or donor’s choice.
Ruth H. Henning was born October 27, 1921 in Grand Island, NE to Fred and Clara (Hohman) Roach. She grew up in Grand Island and attended Stolley Park School and graduated from high school. She married Clyde Henning in 1939 in Ord, NE. They lived and farmed south of Loup City. After Clyde’s death she also resided in Grand Island and Lincoln. She enjoyed sharing her faith and spending time with her family. She is a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE. She was also a Girl Scout leader in Loup City and active in the Women’s Club and Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Adams of Loup City, NE; brother, Jack Roach of Central City, NE; sister, Joyce Hodtwalker of Grand Island, NE; 4 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Ron Adams; 6 brothers, Harold, Vern, Jim, Lee, Robert and Billy and 4 sisters, Doris Ainley, Lucille Ward, Marian Dahlke and Dorothy Warrell.
