Theodore “Ted” Larson, 69 of Omaha died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2010 at John A. Gentleman Chapel on 142

Street and Pacific Street in Omaha, NE.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with Reverend Barbara Spangler officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with military honors by the Loup City American Legion Post #48. Memorials are suggested to the Loup City United Methodist Church or donor’s choice. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements.
Theodore Frank Larson was born April 16, 1940 at Fargo, ND to Reuben and Marcella (Elftman) Larson. He was educated in Loup City, NE and graduated in 1958. He attended electrical trade school in Omaha and upon graduation in June, 1962 he enlisted in the United States Army and was assigned to the White House Communications Agency under John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He married Margaret Ann Welty on June 2, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City, NE. In June, 1965 he was honorably discharged. Upon his discharge he worked 44 years for IBM until his death. He enjoyed fishing and watching sunsets at his cabin at the Sherman Reservoir near Loup City. He also enjoyed traveling and being with his family.
Ted is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Robyn Larson of Mountain Home, ID; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Aaron Lagemann of Omaha, NE; Jill and Todd Stover of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, Jessica, Claire and Jackson Lagemann and Alex Wolfe of Omaha, NE; Chris, Calvin and Cassie Stover of Kearney, NE; Ayden and Austin Larson of Mountain Home, ID; great granddaughter, Layna Piatt of Omaha, NE; brother, Jim Larson of Broken Bow, NE; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and John Kerner of Lexington, NE; Marsha and Ron Eurek of Omaha, NE; Mary and Jim Dooley of Norfolk, NE; mother-in-law, Roberta Welty of Loup City ,NE and friend Lori Ryan of York, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret and father-in-law, Everett Welty.
