Tom Kaminski, 62 of Loup City, NE died Saturday, October 09, 2010 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City, NE. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with military honors by the Loup City American Legion Post #48. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church with a Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Rosary held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Kaminski family or donor’s choice.

Thomas John Kaminski was born September 14, 1948 at Loup City, NE to Donald J. and Virginia (Jarosz) Kaminski. He attended school at Wiggle Creek, Arcadia County School and graduated from Loup City High School in 1966. He went on to Kearney State College where he played football for the Lopers and graduated in 1971. On July 25, 1970 he married Sue Ignowski at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton, NE. They lived in Kearney until Tom graduated and then moved to Loup City. After moving to Loup City Tom joined the National Guard and was a member until May, 1978. After National Guard training he returned to Loup City to farm. He farmed full time until 2001. After that he farmed part time while also substitute teaching, crop adjusting and working construction. He worked until his illness in 2007. Tom’s passion was golf and he also enjoyed refereeing, umpiring and softball. He was a member of St. Josaphat’s Knights of Columbus, Loup City American Legion Post #48, Loup City Golf Association and Mid-America Dairy Association.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sue of Loup City; daughter and sons-in-law, Chelsea and Anthony Shuda of Farwell; Casey and James Muzic of Kansas City, MO; Carmen and Thomas Wilson of Grand Island, NE; son, Adam Kaminski of Grand Island, NE; daughter, Andrea Kaminski of Lincoln, NE and son and daughter-in-law, Adrian and Jennifer Kaminski of St. Libory, NE; mother, Virginia Kaminski of Loup City, NE; grandchildren; Sadie, Kylie and Kassidy Shuda; Quinton Muzic; Hailey and Payton Wilson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Richard Katz of Nevada City, CA; Marj and Jerry Dyvig of Edmond, OK; Judy and David Urbanski of Kearney, NE; Jean and Randy Kathman of Doniphan, NE and brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Becky Kaminski of Broken Bow, NE.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don and brother Raymond.
