Wilbur R. Heil 83 of Rockville, NE died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at CHI Health, Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City, NE with Reverend Jim Koontz officiating. Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with military honors by the Loup City American Legion Post #48. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Heil family or donor’s choice.
Wilbur R. Heil was born March 26, 1932 at Rockville, NE to John Lee and Ida D. (Larson) Heil. He grew up in Rockville, NE and attended grade school at the Austin school at Austin, NE. He graduated from Loup City High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1953 to 1954. In 1958 he graduated from Milford College with a carpenter degree. He married Linda Anderson on March 17, 1962 and they had one child, Brittini Starr (Heil) Schuldt. He married Judy Lee (Fischer) Heil on October 1, 1994 at the United Methodist Church at Loup City, NE. He farmed near Rockville his entire life. He also worked at the ASC office in Loup City and did carpenter work in the area. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Loup City and trustee of the church; charter member of Farm Bureau; life member of Legion Post #48 in Loup City; life member of the VFW in Loup City; life member of North American fishing club; member of Victory Aries; 4-H member; 4-H leader and member of Loup City Saddle Club. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing softball, dancing, traveling and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife Judy, of Rockville; daughter and son-in-law, Brittini and Daniel Schuldt of Doniphan, NE; step-daughter, Jennifer and husband, Tony Conell of Utica, NE; step-son, Jason Pfenning and fiancé, Shari Horn of Gretna, NE; ten grandchildren, Heather and Travis Kelley of Omaha, NE; Brice and Holly Schuldt of Bennett, NE; Whitney and Logan Schuldt of Doniphan, NE; Krayton and Braydon Conell of Utica, NE; Kamryn and Dalton Pfenning of Gretna, NE; three great grandchildren, Peyton Schuldt, Arianna Kelley and Ryleigh Schuldt; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Betty Heil, Marvin and Carolyn Heil, Lloyd and Judy Heil all of Loup City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maxine Dick; brother-in-law, Edward Dick and special cousin, Loren Heil.
