Ann Marie Blazey

     Ann Marie Blazey, 90 of Ord, NE formerly of Loup City, NE died Friday, January 21, 2022 at Arbor Care Center in Ord. Mass of Christian Burial will coincide with regular mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City. Father Richard Piontkowski will celebrate the mass. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. No visitation scheduled. The mass will be livestreamed on the Higgins Funeral Home Facebook page.      Ann Marie Blazey was born August 1, 1931 at Farwell, NE to Frank and Pauline (Prenczek) Blazey. Ann Marie grew up and attended school in the Sherman County area. She was a registered nurse. She spent most of her nursing career at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island and also worked at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Ann Marie spent most of her life serving others. She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City and Sodality Rosary.

     Ann Marie is survived by her son, Wayne Blazey of Central City, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stephen, John, Clemence, Edward, Aloise, Ralph, Donald and Dominic and sisters, Sally Stevens, Josephine Blazey, Barbara Baker and Clara Wojtalewicz.
