David C. Moore 63 of Loup City, NE died Friday, April 15, 2022 at his home in Loup City. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the VFW Hall in Loup City with Pastor Darrell Holzinger officiating. A committal service will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be held one hour before service. Memorials are suggested to the Moore family for later designation. David Charles Moore was born September 19, 1958 at Chisledon, England to Charles and Freda (Saner) Moore. He lived in Dunning, NE for some time and then moved to Loup City, NE. Dave graduated from Loup City High School in 1977. When Dave was 17, he rode bulls and even received 1st place at nationals. He married Linda Haubold on December 21, 1979. Two children were born to this union, Stacie and Rachel. Linda and Dave later divorced. Dave lived in Loup City for most of his life.
Dave worked at Rose Lane Home for a number of years. He then went to work for CNCS doing weatherization. He worked for VC Howard Transportation for 25 years until his health started to decline. Dave would also help Jim and Linda Obermiller at harvest time.
Dave loved to watch his cartoons and westerns. He was also a huge Elvis Presley fan. Every year he would look forward to help get things ready for the Loup City Abate Hog Roast. Dave enjoyed being with his family and friends especially his long-time friend, Earl Techmeier.
Dave is survived by his daughters, Stacie Rundback of Loup City, NE and Rachel Mazanec (Dustin Slater) of Grand Island, NE; foster mother, Barbara Alexander of Central City, NE; 4 grandchildren, Kiley, Makenah, Maycee and Kynsleigh; brother, Troy Alexander; sisters, Michelle (Chad) Groves of Kearney, NE; Cathy Glendy of Loup City, NE; Jolene (Bryan) Kienke of Springview, NE and Connie Beck of Litchfield, NE.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Freda; foster father, Calvin Alexander; sister, Julie Fiehler; brothers, Gary and Butch Alexander.
