Obituary

     Valarie Polley, 66 of Loup City, NE died Friday, September 2, 2022 at Azria Health Broadwell Nursing Home in Grand Island, NE. Cremation has been held. A gathering to celebrate Valarie’s life will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Ashton American Legion Hall. Military honors will be held by the Ashton American Legion Post #108 and United States Navy. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Polley family or donor’s choice.

     Valarie Jean (Vieth) Polley was born January 30, 1955 at Fairbury, NE to Fred and Cena (Gebhard) Vieth. She grew up and attended school in Falls City, NE. Valarie served in the navy from 1976 through 1980. In the later years of her life, she worked for Shopko in Grand Island, NE; Pizza Hut in St. Paul, NE; McDonald’s in Ord, NE and Joe’s Market in Loup City.

     She is survived by her brother, Tom Vieth of Grand Island, NE; sister, Peggy Vieth of Ashton, NE; brothers, Tracy Vieth of Ashton and Scott Vieth of St. Paul, NE. Valarie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Teresa.
