William “Bill” E. Barry 62 of Loup City, NE died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at CHI Health, Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City, NE. Pastor Darrell Holzinger will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service. William “Bill” E. Barry was born November 13, 1959 to James and Wilma (Shepcot) Barry. He grew up and attended school in Lincoln and graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln. On May 13,1989 he married Sarah Logan at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Lincoln. They had two daughters, Amanda and Savannah. They lived in Lincoln until moving to North Loup in 1994. In 1995 they moved to Loup City. Bill in was the Army Reserve and was an over-the-road truck driver. He was also a construction worker. He was baptized in the Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sarah of Loup City; son, William Olmstead; daughters, Amanda (Joshua) Hubbard and Savannah (John) Summerville all of Loup City; 5 grandchildren; sister, Klyla (Larry) Rosenbaum of Texas; brothers, Chris Barry of Colorado and Donald (Debra) Barry of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Johnny William Matson.
