Rick L. Glendy, 56 of Loup City, NE died Tuesday, June 09, 2015 at Loup City.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with Reverend Darrell Holzinger officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the Glendy family or donor’s choice.

     Rick L. Glendy was born June 21, 1958 at Broken Bow, NE to Clayton and Joan (Curren) Glendy.  He grew up in Broken Bow and attended Broken Bow Public School graduating high school in 1977.  He went on to Central Community College in North Platte and received his Associates Degree.  He married Cathy Alexander on May 4, 2002 at Sargent, NE.  In August of 2002 they moved to Loup City.  He was an Electrical, Mechanical Technician for Becton Dickinson & Co. in Broken Bow for 35 years.  He retired in 2013.  The Becton Dickson & Co. was very much part of his life.  Rick had numerous hobbies; wood working, fishing, hunting, boating but his true passion was his family and having them at the lake.  Rick loved life and all the Good Lord blessed him with.

     Rick is survived by his wife, Cathy Glendy of Loup City, NE; daughter, Tara Lynn Glendy of Lincoln, NE; son, Bryan Keith Glendy of Comstock, NE; son, Bradley Joe Kratzer and fiancé, Justice Charles of Callaway, NE; son Brandon Jeffery and wife, Heather Glendy of Columbus, NE; daughter, Angela Susan and husband, David Burchess of Ceresco, NE; son, Dalton Dean and wife, Katelyn Kratzer of Riverdale, NE; mother, Joan Glendy of Broken Bow,  NE; twelve grandchildren; Briana Marie, Tucker Allen, Anthony Michael, Aaron Michael, Jack Delino, Joel Matthew, Emma Grace, Oliver Ace, Maddison Lynn, Kaylee Serre, Bristol Elaine, and a new baby to be born in December; brother, Paul Glendy of WaKeeney, KS; sisters, Kimberly Glendy-Williams of Riverton, WY; Lori Glendy-Williams of Broken Bow, NE; and Kristi Glendy-Sanchez of Broken Bow, NE.  He was preceded in death by his father and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
