Randall "Randy" Lee Bochart was born July 1, 1953 to Robert and Donna (White) Bochart in Des Moines, IA, the oldest of five children.  He graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1971 and from University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture at Curtis in 1973.  He met Susan Johnson after high school and they married on November 16, 1974 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island, Nebraska.  Together they have two daughters, Kristin and Leslie.

Randy began his 43-year career in farming in 1973.  He had a love for all things green, especially his tractors and the growing corn in the fields.  He had an unwavering faith in God and cherished his family, especially his three grandchildren, Brody, Bryn and Blake.  Stranger to no-one, his loud laugh, huge smile and bigger than life personality welcomed all the friendships he treasured throughout his life.  He enjoyed collecting farm toys and hot rods and always looked forward to time spent playing slot machines at the casinos.  He loved all the little ones in his life who looked forward to the Dum Dum’s he always had ready in his shirt pocket.

Through the years he served on numerous area boards including the Loup City School Board, Rural Fire and Ambulance Boards, Zoning Board, Volunteer Firefighter – Rockville Fire Department, Curtis Alumni Association and was very active as member and Elder of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Randy is survived by his wife, Susan of Rockville; daughters, Kristin (Ryan) Larsen of Council Bluffs, IA and Leslie (Dustin) Donohue of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Brody and Bryn Larsen and Blake Donohue; mother, Donna Bochart of Rockville, NE; brothers, Roger (Christy) Bochart of Loup City, NE; Robin (Denise) Bochart of Rockville, NE and Richard (Mara) Bochart of Orrville, OH; sister, Deanne (Phil) Platter of Tualatin , OR  and numerous nieces and nephews.  Randy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bochart and father-in-law, Duane Johnson.
