My condolances to the Mroczek family on the passing of LaVern. I met LaVern while employed as a Zone Manager for International Harvester Co in 1971 calling upon Loup City Farm Equipment. I found LaVern to be very helpful to me in the starting of my career and looked forward to my visits to the dealership. May he rest in pease and my prayers are with all.

I was heartbroken to read of LaVern's passing. Every single childhood memory of our familys' Christmas Eve celebrations included a visit from our very own Santa. I remember waiting to hear stomping on the front porch, sitting on his lap and reciting a prayer. Thank you so much for sharing LaVern with us. He was, and always will be, our very own Santa.

Phyllis: You and LaVern were a special couple I will never forget and made me feel welcomed in Loup City. You two helped to make Loup City a very special place in my life, thank you! Richard went to high school with LaVern. When they were in school, he said LaVern used to tap him on the shoulder to ask him what time it was several times a day because Richard had a wrist watch and LaVern didn't. Dad would hold his wrist up over his head to show him. Richard got quite a chuckle out of that. He will be missed.
