Evelyn Janulewicz

Evelyn Janulewicz 98, of Loup City, NE died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating.  Burial will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21 at the church with a 6:00 p.m. Vigil Service/Sodality Rosary to be held at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the Janulewicz family or donor’s choice. 

Evelyn C. (Kauffman) Janulewicz was born November 14, 1916 at Climax, Montana to Emil and Catherine (Reiter) Kauffman.  She grew up in Nebraska and graduated  from Spalding Academy High School in Spalding, NE in 1934.  After she and Harold B. Janulewicz were married in Valentine, NE on Feb. 1, 1942, they made their home in Loup City.  She and Harold owned and operated the Golden Rule Dairy.  Evelyn delivered milk throughout Loup City and was known as the “milk lady”.  They retired from the business in 1978.  Harold died November 28, 2002.  Evelyn entered Rose Lane Home in 2009.  She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, Sodality Rosary, St. Anne’s Quilting Club, Hospital Auxiliary, bridge club and was a faithful blood donor.  She enjoyed quilting, knitting, baking and was an avid Husker fan.  She is survived by her sons, Mark and wife, Elaine of Grand Island, NE; John and wife, Kay of St. Paul, NE; Paul and wife, Norma of Boelus, NE; David and wife, Paulette Janulewicz of Grand Island, NE; Karl and wife, Melissa of Redding, CA; daughters, Mary Jo and husband, Dick Heishman of Hastings, NE; Cook (Kathy) and husband, Kevin Vogt of Boelus, NE; Vicki and husband, Dave Moraczewski of Ashton, NE; 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild and 2 step-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; brother, Leo and sister, Madelaine.
